WASHINGTON — Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian is announcing Wednesday that he’s buying an online hair care and styling company called disaAR, which he plans to invest $5 million in, in an effort to build a broader hair-care and styling platform that is focused on women’s health and beauty.
Ohanian, whose real name is Joseph Ohanian and is best known for co-founding Reddit, said the new company will focus on cutting-edge technology, including artificial intelligence and social networking.
Ohana’s company is focused, he said, on helping women understand their body and how it can be customized to meet their needs.
Ohani, who has two adult daughters, is known for the website he founded, Reddit.com, which has more than 13 million monthly users and more than 25 million daily visitors.
Ohanyan will also be running the company in a joint venture with the company called NextGen Media, which owns more than 50 million YouTube videos and has more users than the Huffington Post, Forbes, Bloomberg and Time magazine combined.
Ohan, who started his own venture capital firm in 2013, will become CEO of NextGen and oversee the company’s business and business development, according to a news release.
Ohano is also the co-founder and chairman of Reddit, which was founded in 2005.
He has become an influential figure in the Internet culture and social-media world, helping to build the popular Reddit.
The site is popular with young people and a hub for discussion of topics ranging from politics to philosophy.
Ohannes wife, actress Kim Kardashian, and his two daughters are also on the board of NextG Media.
“It’s a very exciting time for our company and the whole tech industry,” Ohanian said in the release.
“We’re taking our next step toward realizing the vision of what we want to be when we grow into the next stage of our life.”
Ohanian told reporters that NextGen is working with other venture-capital firms and is working on a “vision for the future” for Reddit.
Ohaney said the company will create a “platform that will help empower women to discover and discover more about themselves.”
He said NextGen will work with Ohanian on building a network of partners, including brands like Dior, Levi’s, Marc Jacobs, Urban Outfitters and H&M, among others.
“As part of this, I’ve committed to investing in a company called Reddit to build and build and grow a truly global platform for women,” Ohanyani said.
The company is set to announce a “multi-year vision” that will include “a more curated and curated platform for female users, and a dedicated subreddit for the community.”
Ohanyanian is an avid fan of the Internet, and he helped launch Reddit in 2005 with the intention of giving people a place to find and share things they liked and learn about, and to share that information with the world.
He said he’s not worried about the negative attention that would be generated from the news media if he were to move to another company.
“I’m not worried that I’ll lose a lot of money,” Ohana said.
“This is a really exciting time to be working on Reddit.”
He added: “We have a great team and we’re going to do it in a way that we’re really excited about.”
NextGen’s board will include former Google executives and former Facebook executives.
NextGen was founded by Ohanian in the spring of 2012.
He founded Reddit, the world’s largest community of users, in 2006 and became a popular leader on the Internet.
He was an early supporter of Hillary Clinton and was featured in the Clinton campaign’s presidential campaign ads.
Ohania said the startup has grown to more than 1.6 million monthly active users and reached over 15 million monthly unique visitors in the past year.
Ohane said his goal is to help women who have had hair problems or are worried about it to find their answers and take action.
“If you are struggling with hair loss, or you’re worried about your appearance, I hope you can understand why we’re here and help us reach our goals,” he said.
Ohanes wife Kim Kardashian has a number of hair products, including a hair gel called Kora.
Ohanya said NextG’s products will be available through a subscription service, which will include beauty and styling tips, products, tutorials and beauty advice.
The website will also feature products and other products that are currently available in stores, he added.
OhANYAN was also involved in a successful crowdfunding campaign that raised more than $20 million in the summer of 2017.
The project raised more then $20,000 in 24 hours.
OhAN said the venture will continue to expand the services it offers, and the site will also continue to host contests and other social media activities to encourage users to participate in the community. Oh
